What happens if you can’t repair my device?
While we always try to repair your device first so we can get your home back to normal as quickly as possible, sometimes it is just not feasible or would be more expensive than getting a new one. In that case we will either replace your device with one of similar value, or reimburse you for the cost of buying a replacement.
How long does it take for Puls to send someone to my house when something breaks?
While times can vary by location and the type of fix required, we’re often able to come as early as same day, and are almost always there within 48 hours.
Is an inspection required before purchasing the home warranty
No! We do not require any in-home inspections before purchasing any of our warranty plans
What is a ‘limit of liability?’
A limit of liability simply means the amount that a given appliance or system is covered up to each year. For instance, we offer a $2,000 limit of liability on refrigerators - that means that if your fridge breaks in a given year, we’ll fix it, replace it, or reimburse you for up to $2,000 in value for the fridge each year.
What’s the difference between the limit of liability on an appliance or system and the total contract limit of liability?
Appliance and system specific limits refer to how much coverage you get on each individual device within the warranty, like $2,000 for a fridge. The total contract limit of liability represents the amount you can receive per year across all devices. For instance, if you had a fridge, an oven, and an A/C unit break in a given year and each cost $2,000 to fix, you wouldn’t get a full $6,000 in coverage but rather $5,000, because the total contract limit is $5,000.
What is a deductible as it relates to a home warranty?
A deductible, often referred to as a ‘service call fee’, represents the amount you need to pay each time we send someone to your home to fix something.
Is there a deductible on the Puls Whole Home?
Yes, there is a $89 deductible/service call fee for the Puls Whole Home membership. This fee applies when an appliance or system covered under your warranty breaks and we need to send someone to fix it. For optional services, such as TV mounting, interior painting, or drywall repair (which you get a 15% discount on year-round as a Puls Whole Home member), there is no deductible/service call fee.
If I have more than one of the same type of appliance (e.g. 2 refrigerators, one in my kitchen and one in my garage), can I get coverage for both?
Not yet. Under our warranty only you could only claim coverage on one of the 2 refrigerators. In the future we will add the option to add additional devices of the same type so that you can get coverage for both.
Is there a waiting period to file a claim?
Yes, like most home warranties there is a 30 day waiting period before you can file a claim for home warranty coverage. Unlike most home warranties however, we’re able to save you 15% on your first service and 15% on all services thereafter the same day you start your membership
