- Description: Our refrigerator is not cooling properly in the fresh food section, while the freezer continues to work. Ice builds up heavily behind the freezer panel (on the evaporator coils). When we manually defrost and clear the ice, the refrigerator works again temporarily, but the problem returns quickly. Previously this happened about once a year, but now it occurs much more frequently. The refrigerator doors also feel warmer than normal.
