- Description: Just as the dryer was started, a banging noise occurred in the drum stopped spinning. Upon opening the door to see what the issue could be, there was a burning smell. We tried restarting it with no luck. The unit itself still has power. It turns on and the light still works inside, but if you try to start a load, it does not work.
