- Description: A few months ago the dishwasher started having a strange odor after washing the dishes. I tried cleaning it multiple ways but it didn't seem to help. Then we tried using some of the cleaner from the store that has a wax seal that is supposed to melt and clean the dishwasher, but it didn't melt. So I think that part of the problem is the dishwasher is not using hot water.
