- Description: French door refrigerator. Freezer works perfectly but top is 57 degrees. I had a big ice chunk in back of freezer. Got that thawed and top went back to set temp like 36. 6 hours later temp alarm went off back at 57. I’m sure it’s the thermostat not turning on the the defrost cycle or something to that nature. Also I put in the days for the times it does not matter anytime on those days is fine as I’m working remotely from home.
