- Description: My washer & dryer are not stacked. I have one machine as a combination washer and dryer. It smells bad and I have tried to use the self-cleaning cycle 3 times now with an Affresh tablet each time. The smell does not go away at all and in fact black/grey gunk shows up in the drum at the end of all 3 self-cleaning cycles. I have tried to clean the filter at the bottom right (drained it and wiped the filter down), but still the machine smells bad and produces grime. It’s unusable right now.
