Loud rattling / vibration (like something is loose) • Usually caused by worn drum rollers, loose blower wheel, or a failing idler pulley. • Sometimes screws inside the drum baffles (the fins inside the drum) come loose and rattle. • If the dryer isn’t sitting level, it can also vibrate more than normal. 2. Clothes getting stuck between the drum and the frame • That means the drum seals (felt seals at the front or rear of the drum) are worn or torn. • When the seal fails, small or thin clothes can slip into the gap and get caught. 3. Brown/black streaks on lighter clothing • This is almost always from the same worn drum seals or drum support rollers. • The rubber, grease, or burnt lint can transfer to clothing. • Sometimes a misaligned drum scrapes metal, producing dark marks.
