- Description: I already diagnosed the issue. The dryer tumbles fine but doesn’t heat. I used a multimeter to test the thermal fuse, high-limit thermostat, and cycling thermostat — all showed continuity and are functioning properly. I tested the heating element and it came back at 0.0 ohms, which means it’s shorted and needs to be replaced. The model is Insignia NS-FDRE67WH8A. There’s also one red wire on the cycling thermostat that has electrical tape on it I wasn’t able to remove it.
