• Description: My story with LG support: My compressor went out about 8/18. Took us a week to get somebody out via LG warranty to get it replaced. Tech came out on Aug 25, replaced it, and said to call them directly if it doesn't cool down appropriately. Well, it didn't cool appropriately. I called them for the first time after the repair on August 31. After calling on Aug 31, he finally showed up last Monday, Sept. 7. This was the day referenced in my post. He showed up, came inside, banged on the ice reservoir, picked up a can, and said "oh its chilled, you're good. See, ice?" Didn't touch a thermometer. I even asked if he had one. He kept telling me that "external temperature sensor no good, my friend" and that if it has ice, it's good. So I said, "..okay.." as opposed to arguing with him. Immediately purchased a digital accu rite fridge/freezer monitor system as well as dual Taylor analog thermometers to the tune of like $50. All this to find out I was right, my food has been averaging 50 degrees fridge, 15 degrees freezer. I cook daily and use my fridge/freezer a lot, so this has cost me a lot in spoiled groceries, and having to buy the absolute smallest package of everything cause it goes bad in three days. I sent a picture of both thermometers to him, to which he responded by calling and said he'd be out Friday, Sept 15. Then he got busy and we both agreed to yesterday (9/17), to which he no call, no showed. I can't begin to explain how beyond frustrating this is, and I hate taking to social media. But I feel like I've been given the run around and taken advantage of, and I'm having to pay the extra monetary costs, which is tough as a disabled veteran. Update: I called a week ago (9/18), scheduled an appt for today (9/25), 8-12, and i was cancelled on once again. Ive taken off 3 or 4 days of work for this.
