- Description: During the agitation cycle, the washer was making a constant very loud sound. It was not the normal agitating sound and it was not the thumping sound when it is unbalanced. There was also a rattling sound like a broken piece. The washer then stopped working. When we opened the lid, our laundry was sitting in water. We attempted to start the spin and drain so the water would drain and dry out the laundry but that did not work.
