- Description: We are having issues with both our washer and dryer and I'm hoping that it is as simple as power but I'm not sure. About a week ago, the dryer was not turning off until I opened the door (it would just keep running). In the last day or so, it started just turning off before the load was dry and now it won't turn on at all. The light is also not turning on when I open the door. I have replaced the timer but that didn't make a difference. The washer is also stopping shortly after it starts.
