- Description: Your repairman (Leonard ) had replaced the auger motor & heater in our Samsung refrigerator on June 20th to address a 40 E (Ice room) diagnostic code. It had been working for 2 to 3 weeks but we subsequently started getting the SAME 40 E error code AGAIN. Here is the link that he sent me for the replacement part. https://a.co/d/7w22sTn Assuming that the replacement part was defective and under warranty, I contacted ApplianceZone.net to obtain a replacement. Unfortunately, they inicated that Leonard had specified the WRONG part number for our refrigerator. “Thank you for contacting us. I have researched your Refrigerator Model # and I see that your unit uses Auger Motor Part # DA97-05246G , this is not a part we carry. I'm sorry, unfortunately the part you purchased was Auger Motor Part # APNDA97-12540K. This is not compatible per the Manufacturer with your Model Refrigerator. This part will not be eligible for warranty as any part installed in an incorrect model voids the warranty. I am honestly surprised that the repairman would not have verified he was using the correct part listed for your unit. This may be something you can take up with the repair company. Thank you Paula” At this point, I have already paid for the wrong part and paid $200 to PULS for the repair service to install the incorrect part. I had initially reached out to Leonard on July 31st. At that point he asked me to resend the model number info to him, which I did that day. Unfortunately I have NOT heard anything back from hm since then. Thanks, John Stupak
